Unfortunately “I Met AOL”

Now why would somebody take the time, not to mention the space, to talk about the well-known AOL internet service. Well I will tell you. Someone who can not stand even the remotest possibility of having to deal with them ever again. Unfortunately people like myself either live in a rural area, or possibly just don’t know how to go about finding a better way to get internet service.

After a long, yearly, drawn out process of AOL problems and trying to totally get them out of my life; I finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel. Recently my daughter bought me a new computer and AOL was not, and never will be invited to get anywhere near it. It is and will remain a virgin computer – No AOL Access!

I just do not understand what part of KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) that AOL does not understand.

I ran across the following website that explains another person’s experience with AOL. It certainly is not the only source that shares their frustrations…but it does explain, in part, just how difficult it really is to get rid of AOL once they get into your life.

Dave Taylor

I never did get through the long list of comments on Dave Taylor’s site. And BEWARE…with AOL, it is not unusual to find out that you have two accounts with them; you are paying double-time for a service that will no doubt give you gray hair!
